Concordia University’s vision for the project embraced recent academic research and teaching models that have evolved to allow for flexibility and adaptability in the science classroom.

Squeeze Play

Creating additional science classrooms located near the core existing science teaching facilities encouraged an innovative site strategy to infill an over looked outdoor courtyard. The building mass, opposite a key pedestrian link creates a visible connection to the science community on campus. As a bonus, the project transformed an underutilized court into a beautiful landscaped oasis with waterfall and shaded seating for the students.
